Chris Sutton reacts as Nathan Patterson seals Rangers exit
Nathan Patterson has secured a move to Everton from Rangers today, the Ibrox club has confirmed.
Chris Sutton has taken to his personal Twitter account to express his reaction. He has suggested that it’s a ‘loss’ for the Gers.
The 20-year-old sealed the move in a record-breaking £12million deal that could further rise, depending on his progress at Goodison Park.

Sutton wrote on Twitter: “Good luck to Nathan Patterson at Everton. A talented player with great promise and no doubt a loss to Rangers.”
Big loss or exceptional business?
Patterson is a highly-rated young talent, and losing him is not ideal.
The club wanted him to stay and progress. He is already a part of the Scotland national team, and has got immense potential.
He has looked assured every time he took the pitch. However, it’s unfortunate for him that in his position, club skipper James Tavernier has been the first choice.

Tavernier has been superb this season, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst cannot afford to drop him.
At the same time, Patterson needs regular football to continue his development. The move makes sense for all parties involved.
What Rangers could do best is to get a fair deal out of his transfer, and they managed to get a record transfer deal for him.
It’s an exceptional piece of business from the club. The money can be used wisely in bolstering the squad.
