Nathan Patterson exit may be announced within 24 hours as Rangers ace arrives on Merseyside

Nathan Patterson’s move from Rangers to Everton could be made official within the next 24 hours, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper reports that Patterson, 20, has travelled to England to finalise a club-record transfer at Ibrox which could see the Gers pocket up to £16million with add-ons.

It is understood that an official announcement will be made tomorrow (Tuesday) at the earliest after Patterson grew frustrated by his lack of opportunities at the Scottish Premiership leaders.

Cracking business

Let’s admit it, if we get the full £16million for Patterson, then Ross Wilson has played an absolute blinder.

While he’s a very talented young player, you cannot see James Tavernier leaving the Gers, losing his captaincy and getting ostracised from the side any time soon so it makes sense for Patterson to move on.

And to get up to £16million, or even anything £10million and above, for a player who isn’t a regular starter, is mega business for Scottish Premiership clubs.

Rangers

Patterson has really impressed us since breaking into the Gers’ first-team squad.

He broke COVID regulations last season and many of us thought that would be it for the youngster.

But he’s come back from that and shown that when he applies himself and puts himself out there to prove people wrong, he can be a top player.

We won’t forget Patterson in a hurry even though he’s played fewer than 30 senior matches for Rangers.

And we wish him all the best in the Premier League with Everton.

In other Rangers news, a player will decide if he wants to sign for the Gers in the coming days.
