Rangers star Aribo tipped for the top by former coach

Rangers’ ace attacker Joe Aribo is having a stellar season and is now reported to be attracting a lot of interest.

His former coach at Staines Town, Mark Fabian, believes the 25-year-old can go to any of Europe’s top leagues if he wishes,.

Aribo has six goals to his name this season but only 18 months remain on his contract.

As quoted by the Daily Record, Fabian said: “Obviously his contract at Rangers has 18 months to go and there might be a decision to be made by him and his club.

“It might be hard to turn down a big move to the English Premier League, when you think about the incredible money that goes with it.

“I’d imagine if he came back down here he’d want to go to one of the more stable sides higher up the league.

“Some of the teams listed could end up going down – and that wouldn’t be too appealing for him.

“You look at what’s happening with Rangers. If they win the league again this year, they go straight into the Champions League. That’s huge.”

Time to Cash In?

Aribo has been a crucial part in Rangers’ table-topping season so far and he would be a big miss for manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst if he joined a team like Aston Villa, who are linked with signing him [Daily Record].

Gers’ fans will get a taste of what life could be like without him when he leaves in January to play in the Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria.

Rangers

A fully-fledged international makes Aribo and even more enticing option for clubs hoping to sign him and that could play to Rangers’ advantage.

With aims of playing in the biggest games and competitions, Aribo’s best chance might be to look towards pastures new in the not too distant future.

And the interest in him could mean Rangers look to cash in on the potential bidding war which could help take the club to the next level and become Champions League regulars.

van Bronckhorst’s side would be worse off initially but with £20million being touted as the price required to prize Aribo away, much of that could be used to improve various positions in the Gers squad.

In other Rangers news, this youngster could be set for a late loan move.
