Rangers media partner Heart and Hand react as restrictions remain
Rangers media partner Heart and Hand have reacted after the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon insisted new restrictions will continue for at least another three weeks.
While the public are still able to congregate in large indoor areas such as shopping centres, stadiums will remain limited to just 500 spectators, and the Old Firm clash on February 2 is likely to be played effectively behind closed doors.
Sturgeon maintained that crowds would not be allowed to return to football grounds anytime soon, while Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Covid Recovery John Swinney could only pile on the misery as football supporters face anxious wait, and one of Rangers official partners were far from pleased with the SNP politicians.

Heart and Hand said on their Twitter account: “I think you’ve seen today the sneering contempt football fans are held in by the political class.
“The truth is, they are the ones out of touch: they don’t understand the ordinary working person and have no idea what matters to us.”
Absolutely
Football is what keeps a lot of people going, but that could soon be taken away from them.
If airports and shopping centres can remain open up till now, then the same should apply to stadiums.
The capacity limits could have a lot of impact on the mental health of fans, and that is the last thing anybody needs right now.
Rangers were meant to play Celtic at Parkhead on Sunday (2 January), but that had to be postponed due to the restrictions.
The SPFL came up with a new date, in hope that the restrictions would have ended by the end of January, but that is not looking very likely.

Almost 30,000 new Covid cases were recorded in Scotland over the three-day Christmas period, with the number of positive test results hitting over 11,000 on Boxing Day [The Scottish Sun], and that numbers could keep skyrocketing.
Rangers headed into the winter break top of the table, with six points between them and Celtic.
While the players will be ready to play behind closed doors if it comes to that, the fans cannot cope with such right now, and the SNP should do better.
