Kenny Miller says Rangers are ‘too strong’ for Celtic
Kenny Miller has branded Rangers a ‘real threat’ whilst claiming they are ‘too strong’ for Celtic to compete with this season.
The Bears sit comfortably six points ahead of their Glaswegian rivals at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Miller believes Rangers have gone from strength to strength under Gio van Bronckhorst and has urged the Hoops to invest in January to stand a chance of winning the league.

“I said from the outset I think Rangers will be too strong for Celtic this year,” he said on the Go Radio Football Show.
“I think since Giovanni has come in, there’s been real changes to, not the style but definitely the shape.
“I think they look a real threat.
“Rangers were a little bit flat towards the end of Steven’s time at the club and Giovanni has come in straight away and I think there’s a real energy brought back to the team, whether that’s a new manager bounce which a lot of people talk about, but they’re looking really good.
“The biggest thing for them is will they strengthen in January and will they lose players?”
Miller later put pressure on Celtic to invest in January to keep up with the Gers: “When you look across the city at Celtic, there’s been a lot of chat about strengthening in January.
“It’s because they need to, they need to strengthen… Since Giovanni came in, there has been a real resurgence in their performances, their energy, I think they look a threat from so many different areas now.”

Momentum
Rangers mustn’t let anything get in their way as they look to claim their second league title in as many seasons in Scotland.
The Bears will face their toughest test yet in the new year period with key players Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun set to miss out on up to five games worth of action depending on how far Nigeria progress into the tournament – which could include the Old Firm derby at Celtic Park.
They did manage to keep hold of Calvin Bassey who had been tipped for a debut call up for Nigeria but was unsuccessful.
Rangers could struggle without their key men, but they have had enough time to prepare for their absence.
Another deifying factor will be what business is conducted throughout the January transfer window.
The Gers must keep hold of their star performers until at least the end of the season unless they have adequate replacements lined up.
