Kris Boyd: SPFL do not expect Rangers v Celtic to be played in a full house
Kris Boyd does not expect Rangers v Celtic to contest Februrary’s Old Firm derby in front of a full house at Parkhead.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that the fact that the game has been scheduled on a Wednesday means that the SPFL do not expect a full house themselves.
That is despite the league bringing their winter break forward, given Nicola Sturgeon’s rule of not allowing more than 500 fans inside stadiums.

Boyd wrote in his Scottish Sun column, “The fact the Old Firm match has been scheduled for a Wednesday night tells you the authorities don’t think so either.
“If the police had their way, Celtic v Rangers at a sold-out Parkhead would be kicking off at 7.45 am.”
Shocking
If Parkhead isn’t packed to the rafters then what was the point of even postponing the game?
It might have well gone ahead in January with only 500 fans in attendance.
This decision unnecessarily benefits Celtic as they’ve got plenty of injured players that will be available in February.

There has been no thought process from the government in the first place, to bring about these things.
Even the SPFL have not done their due diligence and have just bought into what the clubs have told them to do.
What’s needed is someone to take a stand that may go against the grain and rub clubs the wrong way.
In other Rangers news, the club want to sign a ‘Fantastic’ England international who is 28, and could get him to sign a pre-contract once the January window opens on 1st.
