Kris Boyd accuses Rangers and other SPFL clubs for acting on their agendas
Kris Boyd believes that all 12 SPFL clubs including Rangers had their agenda to vote in bringing the winter break forward.
He believes that clubs should not be allowed to influence this kind of power on the authorities.
The former Rangers player has asked the SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster to take matters into his own hands rather than let the clubs make all the decisions.

He wrote in his Scottish Sun column, “Neil Doncaster claims that the decision to start the winter break early was a victory for democracy. I don’t see any winners. It was a ridiculous move.
“Let’s get it out there, all 12 Premiership clubs had their own agenda on this. So why should they have an influence on the decision? What kind of way is that to run any serious football organisation?
“There should be someone, just one person, in charge to make the big decisions for the greater good. Doncaster is the SPFL chief executive, but how many times have you heard him say it’s the clubs who really decide?”
Spot on
Boyd is absolutely correct with this decision. There is no proper governance of Scottish football and it shows.
Doncaster may be at the summit, but he’s done little to prove that he has the power to overrule the majority decision taken by all the clubs.
This was a classic example of that and things are unlikely to change once the football resumes.

However, what Boyd’s column will do is open the eyes of many people and ensure that discussions about it are taken at the highest level.
Whether that comes to fruition or not is anyone’s guess, but the least we can do is be optimistic.
Gers were one of only two clubs to oppose this current chance so they will feel that it was an unjust decision.
Hopefully, they’re still in good spirits before facing Celtic in February as a win there could prove to be a season-defining moment.
In other Rangers news, the club want to sign a ‘Fantastic’ England international who is 28, and could get him to sign a pre-contract once the January window opens on 1st.
