Jim White reacts to Rangers win over St. Mirren, shares Morelos snap

Rangers secured their seventh consecutive Premiership win under Giovanni van Bronckhorst against St. Mirren at Ibrox on Boxing Day.

TalkSPORT host Jim White was in town to watch the game, and he took to his personal Twitter account afterwards to share a picture of Alfredo Morelos he took after the game.

The Colombian striker doubled the Gers lead, continuing his fine form under the new manager, and fans would be pleased with his recent performances.

White said: “Took in Rangers FC 2-0 win over Saint Mirren FC today – bumped into happy goalscorer Alfredo Morelos post-match!”

Solid performance

Morelos has found the back of the net six times in eight games under the Rangers boss, taking his tally in the Light Blues jersey to 107.

He is now 33rd in the club’s all-time scoring charts and is just four goals away from getting to 111 goals and moving into 32nd.

The Gers ace is surely enjoying life at Ibrox now more than before given the new playing style.

Morelos is playing closer to goal and is not having to drop deep as he was required to under Steven Gerrard.

That is reflecting in his goals, and much more should be expected from him going forward.

That is not to say that he would love to remain at Rangers for the majority of his career, but nothing can be ruled out, and van Bronckhorst would love to hold on to him for as long as he can.

However, should he opt to move on, Morelos would not be short of suitors if he continues at this rate.

Bids did not come in for him last summer, but if he keeps his goalscoring form up till the end of 2021-22, the Ibrox outfit should be prepared for a lot of them in the coming summer.

In other Rangers news, a billionaire-owned club want Bears ace, had rep at Ibrox of recent.
