Heart and Hand react to Rangers 2-0 win v St. Mirren

Rangers made it seven league wins in as many games under Giovanni van Bronckhorst against St. Mirren at Ibrox on Boxing Day.

The Premiership reigning champions wrapped things up in the first half with goals from Scott Wright and Alfredo Morelos, and the Bears official media partner Heart and Hand were impressed, taking to their Twitter account to react to the victory.

Life under GvB has gone incredibly well for Rangers, and it is safe to say that they have surpassed expectations under the Dutchman.

Heart and Hand said: “This has been a really slick performance from the Gers.

“Some terrific football.”

Indeed

The Light Blues came up against a depleted St. Mirren side that have been hit by covid-19, but they would have fancied their chances against their full squad.

Rangers should have bagged more than two, but they would not care as they head into the winter break six points clear at the top of the Premiership table.

With half of the 2021-22 campaign gone, the defending champions have done very well, and it is safe to say they have improved significantly under the new manager.

The Dutchman will now look to get more out of his team during the break, and should he manage to successfully get his methods across to his players in the coming days, they could become tougher to beat during the second half of the campaign.

Celtic will surely be giving them a run for their money, and the Bears will have to make one or two quality additions to their squad in January.

Not many would have predicted such a fine start for them under van Bronckhorst, and retaining the title is very much on the cards if they keep up this form.
