Alan McGregor could end his Rangers career at the end of the season
Rangers goalkeeper Alan McGregor could end his career at Ibrox at the end of the season.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper has a contract at the club till the end of the season, and it’s “hard to imagine” he would be given a contract extension.
According to a report in the Scottish Sun, he could join the coaching staff at the club if he decides to stay on.

Best move
McGregor has been outstanding this season, and like fine wine, he is getting better with age.
Against Livingston last month, he produced a heroic performance for the Gers, with Brian Rice hailing him as “magnificent”.
He has won plenty of matches for Rangers, won trophies, and has been a great servant for the club.
However, it’s probably the best time for the Gers to think about the future, and bring in a new goalkeeper.

Rangers already have two very good goalkeepers as back-ups – Jon McLaughlin and Robby McCrorie.
McLaughlin has rarely put a foot wrong when he’s being given an opportunity. He could become the first choice for the club under Giovanni van Bronckhorst going forward.
McGregor is surely coming to the end of his career, and it remains to be seen whether he hangs his boots completely at the end of the season.
In other Rangers news, the club want to sign a ‘Fantastic’ England international who is 28, and could get him to sign a pre-contract once the January window opens on 1st.
