Rangers may turn to Josh Doig to replace Borna Barisic
Rangers could turn to Hibernian teenager Josh Doig if Borna Barisic gets tempted by a move to the Premier League and leaves in January.
According to The Athletic, Watford have been linked to Barisic and should he leave, Doig could be on the list to replace him.
The report claims that he is worth approximately £2-3 million while the Croatian left-back is closer to the £10million mark, although not quite there.

Interesting
Gers are run like a business and they do aim to become self-sufficient eventually.
They’ve been extremely canny with their transfer dealings and such a conundrum is something they have experienced in the past.
While Barisic may be one of the club’s best players, they will be aware that he’s nearing 30 and will soon have no resale value.
Currently, if reports are to be believed, they could get as much as £8miilion from his sale, which is quite a good fee.
Doig, who would be considerably cheaper is also younger and could one day become as good if not better than Barisic.

He would come to Ibrox highly recommended, having been labelled “phenomenal” by his former boss Ray McKinnon.
It is an interesting situation that Gers find themselves in and it will be fascinating to see how they deal with it.
Ideally, they should keep Barisic until the end of the season and then look to sell him and already have Doig or any other replacement ready to be unveiled.
In other Rangers news, the club want to sign a ‘Fantastic’ England player, and could get him to sign a pre-contract in January
