Rangers issued £4,701 fine by UEFA for fan behaviour v Sparta Prague
Rangers have reportedly been issued a fine by UEFA to the tune of £4,701 after what their fans did in the Europa League clash against Sparta Prague in November.
According to the Scottish Sun, the European football authorities found their fans throwing objects during the match which the Gers ended up winning 2-0.
Rivals Celtic have also been hit with a fine of £32,587 for the throwing of objects during their Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

The report reads, “Old Firm rivals Rangers have also landed themselves in trouble following their match against Sparta Prague.
“The Ibrox club have been hit with a slapped with £4,701 fine by the European football authorities after fans were caught throwing objects in the tie against the Czechs.”
Just?
Things were expected to go overboard during the Prague clash and UEFA are right in their place to maintain discipline.
Obviously, they couldn’t let go of an incident like objects being thrown on the pitch unpunished and hit Rangers with a fine.
The amount mentioned will hardly matter to the club and neither will it deter the perpetrators from repeating their actions.

Unless the individuals aren’t taken to task, we’re going to continue to see such things happen.
The Celtic incident was undoubtedly more intense and they were hit with a five-figure fee.
Despite concerted efforts from authorities to keep these things at bay, instances like these will, unfortunately, continue to take place.
