Alex Rae took to Twitter to react after Rangers won 1-0 against Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership at Ibrox on Saturday.

Rae was heavily impressed with the performance of Ryan Kent, and adjudged him as the man of the match.

The BT Sport pundit wrote on Twitter:

“FT. Rangers 1-0 Dundee United. Only one team [was] chasing [for] the win and James Tavernier pen secures the points.

“Not the best performance but a win all the same.

“Gers now seven points clear at [the] top of SPFL. MOM. Kent. Always a threat.”

Impressive

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has made a dream start at Rangers.

The Dutchman is undefeated since taking charge of the club, and has now picked up six league wins in a row.

Rangers are top of the table and have extended their lead to seven points, although Celtic have a game in hand.

Rangers

Van Bronckhorst said after the game (18 December) that he was happy with the win but the performance wasn’t up to the mark.

That is where Rangers are doing incredibly well under him.

It is the hallmark of a champion side to squeeze out results when they are not playing at their best, and the Gers have done that under him so far.

Against Dundee United, it was a sluggish performance from the home side. They were mainly pedestrian, and lacked creativity upfront, especially in the first half.

Ryan Kent was brilliant, as usual, but Scott Wright also impressed heavily after coming off the bench.
