Rhys Breen lauds the ‘scary’ talent of Rangers starlet Kai Kennedy
Rangers youngster Kai Kennedy has been showered in praise by his Dunfermline teammate Rhys Breen.
Winger Kennedy is on a season-long loan deal at East End Park, making 13 appearances in the Scottish Championship so far.
The 19-year-old got his first goal for the club in a 3-3 draw against Queen of the South last weekend (11 December) and set up the other two goals.

Speaking to The Herald, Breen, who completed a permanent move to Dunfermline from Ibrox in July, said there was more to come from Kennedy.
“Kai had struggled to get in the squad but we had a bounce game against Hibs and he got three goals,” the defender said. “The talent that he has is scary. Not a lot of people have that kind of talent.
“I am happy for him to get the goal and then the two assists. I feel like he deserves it and hopefully he can keep himself in the squad.
“It is just that kind of spark that he has. There are only a handful of players that I have seen with that. It comes through in training. He is a hard working lad and I feel that is the mentality side that comes from Rangers.
“He has come here and shown a great attitude. It was hard for him to get into the squad but now that he is in I feel that he can do a lot more for us.”

Needs to step up
Kennedy has always been a highly-rated prospect at Ibrox, with former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard describing the winger as “fabulous” [Daily Record].
Meanwhile, former Bears academy striker Matty Yates, who played with Kennedy, compared him to Lionel Messi in an interview with The Athletic.
Now it is time for the 19-year-old to start delivering on all of this promise.
Last season, he scored just two goals and got four assists in 24 appearances in the Scottish Championship across loan spells with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Raith Rovers.
Kennedy has continued to struggle at Dunfermline this season, with the Pars currently eighth in the second tier.
Hopefully his man of the match performance against Queen of the South last weekend can help him kickstart his campaign.
