GvB shares latest fitness update on Rangers defender Borna Barisic
Rangers picked up a convincing 2-0 victory against St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night at Ibrox.
The Gers maintained a four-point lead at the top, but the only concern that appeared from the game was the sight of left-back Borna Barisic hobbling off with the team medics late on.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has allayed the fears, saying the Croatian hasn’t picked up any injury.
“He’s okay. He was just not feeling well. He’s not injured,” said Van Brockhorst after the match, as quoted by the Daily Record.
Strong performance
Barisic was taken off in the 79th minute, and he was replaced by Nathan Patterson.
The 29-year-old has been brilliant this season for the Gers, picking up two assists already in the league.
The defender, who was hailed as “outstanding” by Steven Gerrard previously, has made six appearances in the Europa League as well.
Goals from Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent sealed all three points for Rangers last night.
The title race is getting interesting after Celtic secured a last-minute victory against Ross County.
Kent was superb throughout the game, and could have easily had a hat-trick in the first half alone.

He has been allowed the freedom to drift into spaces around the penalty area. His link-up play with his teammates, clever passing and getting shots on target is a joy to watch at the moment.
It seems Rangers forward are playing quicker under the Dutchman, and it is getting the best out of their attacking players as a result.
