BBC pundit impressed by Rangers ace Alfredo Morelos v St Johnstone

Richard Foster was left stunned by the display of Rangers ace Alfredo Morelos against St Johnstone in the SPFL on Wednesday night [15 December].

The Colombian scored and provided an assist as the Gers sealed a comfortable 2-0 win.

First, the 25-year-old headed in from close range in the first half, and then he squared the ball for Ryan Kent to double the lead in the second half.

Foster said on BBC Sportsound: “That was probably the best I’ve seen Morelos playing this season.”

Earlier on Wednesday, just after his goal, he said: “As all good strikers do, Morelos peeled off his man and got himself a free header. He’ll hardly ever score an easier goal.”

Morelos is back on the goal trail.

Despite being such a lethal goalscorer for the Bears, the Colombian international has only scored seven league goals this season.

However, since Giovanni van Bronckhorst has arrived, he has scored three of them, so it appears as if the Dutchman is bringing Morelos back to his former levels.

If he keeps going like this, you would think that not many teams would be able to stop Rangers or Morelos, who can overpower and outpace most players in this division.

The goal was simple enough, but he was in the right place at the right time to gobble up the chance.

The assist was much more impressive and showed that the Colombian is adapting his game as he develops and grows as a player.

We can’t wait to see the Colombian in his next game because, in this form, it is hard to stop him.

In other Rangers news, Foster was fuming with Liam Craig’s dive during the St Johnstone game.
