However, it now seems to have happened and it will be interesting to see if Ross Wilson follows it up with a transfer offer.

Having been developed in the lauded La Masia academy, it’s not surprising that there’s so much hype surrounding the teenager.

In a report by The Sun in 2019, he was lauded for his “skilful” nature also billed the next Xavi – not easy shoes to fit into.

He has also been praised for his leadership skills since a very early age and his experience of playing in two different countries could prove to be vital for Rangers.

While he may not be a regular from day one, he’ll certainly be part of the matchday squad and earn his sport in Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side.

From the reports above, it’s understood that the Dutchman is also an admirer of the midfieder and he could try pulling the strings if there is genuine interest to bring him to the Ibrox.

It remains to be seen how this one transpires, but he undoubtedly will be a good fit for the club.
