Ally McCoist and Ian Crocker blast ‘ridiculous’ loose pass by Ryan Kent in Rangers v Hearts
Ally McCoist and Ian Crocker slammed Ryan Kent for his loose passing in Rangers’ 2-0 win against Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.
It was a scrappy first half from both teams as they both gave away possession needlessly and just before the break, it was Kent who was guilty.
Him and Borna Barisic passed the ball to one another a couple of times near the corner, but Kent clearly grew a bit impatient and played a pass into the penalty box that was intercepted by Hearts.

Luckily, nothing came of it and the Gers held their 2-0 lead at half-time but Crocker and McCoist were not impressed by Kent’s play.
“Rangers failing miserably to clear and it’s a corner that may be the last play of the first half,” said Sky Sports commentator Crocker on Sky Sports Football on Sunday afternoon.
McCoist then said: “It’s a ridiculous ball by Kent that’s intercepted.”

Sloppy
For all the good that Rangers did against Hearts on Sunday, there were also some very sloppy moments from the Gers when they were in possession.
Hearts were worse, in fairness, but the Light Blues struggled to control possession at times with players kicking the ball out of play under no pressure, over-hitting passes or panicking while under pressure.
Kent was in stunning form in the attacking third.
He showed tremendous skill ahead of Alfredo Morelos’ goal as he wrong-footed the Hearts defender before his cross into the box caused all sorts of mayhem.
But there are still moments where the former Liverpool winger has a rush of blood to the head and he kind of forgets where he is on the pitch.
It’s all well and good when you’re trying risky passes in the attack. You can afford that up the other end of the pitch.
However, you cannot be doing it inside your own half – especially not to the side of your own penalty area.
In other Rangers news, the Gers will require big money for this “game-changer” in the January window, according to a BBC Sportsound pundit.
