Ryan Jack could start for first time in nine months in Rangers clash v Lyon
Ryan Jack could make his first start for Rangers in nine months when they play Lyon in France on Thursday night, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper reports that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will offer some of his fringe players the chance to impress in what is a dead-rubber Europa League group stage finale at the Groupama Stadium.
Jack, who’s been in and out of the Gers side with injuries for the last year, could start and may be partnered by John Lundstram in the midfield while the Daily Record also moots starts for Nathan Patterson, Kemar Roofe and Scott Wright.

Jack’s back
We’ve all been waiting for Jack to get enough fitness to be able to start playing matches from the kick-off again.
The Scotland midfielder has played just three times in all competitions this season due to injuries but his involvement off the bench against Dundee on Saturday suggests he’s almost fully up to speed again.
It’s been a tough period of Jack’s career.

Ever since joining the Light Blues from Aberdeen in 2017, the 29-year-old has had injury issues.
But while he’s had those setbacks, he’s also been one of the club’s best players in that time and we always look a better team when he’s involved.
Lyon will be tough to beat on Thursday night and we’re not expecting fireworks.
However, we are going to be watching Jack very closely in the hope that the popular central midfielder can deliver us a performance that we’ve all been waiting so long to see.
In other Rangers news, one of Lyon’s former Celtic stars has been ruled out of the game.
