Rangers make contact to sign Dundee United midfielder Jeando Fuchs
Rangers have made contact to sign Dundee United star Jeando Fuchs, the midfielder has told Foot Mercato.
The Cameroon international told the French media outlet that along with Gers, their arch rivals Celtic have also been in talks with his representatives over a potential move.
Having joined the Scottish club last year, the 24-year-old has established himself as a mainstay in the squad, but is mulling over signing an extension to his contract that expires this summer.

He said, “I am at the end of my contract in May. I’m waiting to see something concrete and see if I have a choice to make at that time. I am not in a hurry.
“There has been contact with Blackpool, Peterborough and Wigan. Stuttgart have taken information since the summer.
“There has been [contact] from Celtic and Rangers as well, but nothing more. A Premier League club as well. England would be good.”
Good free signing
Fuchs was billed as a “tenacious” midfielder when Dundee United made his signing official last October.
He’s even represented France at various youth levels before he eventually decided to pledge his allegiance to Cameroon.
The fact that he’s still to commit his future to his club suggests that he’s open to a move away and Rangers will definitely prove to be a step up.
The Glasgow giants are favourites to win the league title and will also fancy their chances of progressing in the Europa League.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has brought about fresh ideas and this side appears to be playing with a real swagger.
Fuchs would fit in perfectly and be a long-term heir to the likes of Steven Davis and Scott Arfield.
The club have made contact so now it remains to be seen how interested he is in signing for the Gers.
