BBC pundits predict Rangers v Hibernian scoreline
Rangers travel to Easter Road to face Hibernian on Wednesday, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be keen to continue his winning run.
The Dutchman led the Ibrox outfit to a 3-1 win over Livingston in his first Premiership game on Sunday, and ‘The Nine’ presenter Amy Irons and Sportsound pundit and former St Johnstone player Allan Preston have both predicted a 2-1 victory for them on the BBC website.
Hibs dumped Rangers out of the League Cup semi-final a few days ago with their new manager watching in the stand, and the Bears will be looking to take revenge.
Jack Ross’ side have already denied the Premiership defending champions the chance to win a domestic treble this season, and they will be very keen to prove that the 3-1 win at Hampden Park was no fluke.
Rangers players were all over the place in that game, but they have since improved under Steven Gerrard’s successor, winning their first two games under him in style.
They will be hoping to keep hat-trick hero Martin Boyle quiet, but Hibs fans will definitely be giving them a torrid time.
With just four points between them and second-placed Celtic, a defeat is the last thing the Light Blues want right now.
They need to prove their title credentials again against a tough team, and while leaving with all three points will not undo that League Cup defeat, exacting revenge will be sweet.
Van Bronckhorst’s honeymoon is not likely to end just yet, and Rangers have to get a win by any means necessary.
In other Rangers news, The Athletic has shared if billionaire wants to buy the Bears after major development this month.
