BBC Sportscene pundit stunned by Joe Aribo in Rangers 3-1 win at Livingston
Richard Foster was left in awe of Joe Aribo’s goal against Livingston as Rangers ground out a crucial 3-1 win on Sunday.
Speaking on BBC Sportscene [29/11/21] after Aribo scored the second of three Gers goals at Almondvale, Foster waxed lyrical of the 25-year-old midfielder.
“The next little bit is just fabulous,” Foster said, analysing the Nigeria international’s goal. “Great little pass from [Ryan] Kent, great touch from [Alfredo] Morelos and he’s got no right to score from there.

“I think Livingston, with all respect, were in a decent enough position, but when you’ve got the quality of Aribo to do that then sometimes you’ve just got to hold your hand up and say there’s not much you can do.”
Class
Rangers have been inconsistent this season, with a number of players dropping the high standards they set themselves last season, but Aribo has been one of their brightest sparks.
With four goals and two assists in the Premiership during the current 2021/22 campaign, Aribo is already on more than half of the direct goal contributions he registered last season [11 – seven goals, four assists].

He has featured in attack as well as in midfield, impressing wherever he has been deployed.
Aribo made himself a key component of Steven Gerrard’s side and he looks to be set on ensuring he is just as integral to new Ibrox boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The better he plays, the more suitors will begin to emerge for Aribo’s services as the Gers battle to keep hold of him.
But that’s part and parcel of football with van Bronckhorst happy to see him shine as long as he delivers the goods for Rangers.
In other Rangers news, a European giant is plotting a January bid for this Ibrox star and his stance on a move there has been shared.
