Ian Crocker and Andy Walker blown away by Joe Aribo goal in Rangers v Livingston

Andy Walker and Ian Crocker were blown away by Joe Aribo’s goal for Rangers in their 3-1 win over Livingston at Almondvale on Sunday.

Aribo doubled the Gers’ lead in the 16th minute with a beautifully-placed strike into the top of Max Stryjek’s goal.

Sky Sports commentator Crocker was stunned by the quality of Aribo’s finish.

Speaking on Sky Sports Football during the first half, Crocker said: “Wow, that is pretty special from Joe Aribo. Another goal to take your breath away and Rangers have a very firm grip on this game.”

Walker then said: “Arguably Rangers’ best player this season.

“He’s showing his quality here. He’s always capable of something special.

“Normally he’s got really good footwork, skill and ability and he sets things up. But here, he just takes a step back and then to get that in, there’s no real power behind it, he’s measured the shot, gets the right height on it, gets it away from Stryjek, just under the bar.

“It’s a beautiful effort. Terrific goal from Aribo.”

Incredible

It really was a top-notch goal by Aribo, who netted his fourth Premiership goal of the season in the first half at the Tony Macaroni.

The 25-year-old has been our best performer in recent weeks and Walker claims that he’s been our best so far this season.

It’s hard to argue with that.

We’ve had other good performers this term but no one has played on the level they did when we won the title last time around.

However, Aribo is definitely someone who’s at least matching his performances of last season and that means we have to agree with Walker on this.

We genuinely can’t think of anyone doing better, especially as of late.

Aribo’s playing blinder after blinder and that goal against Livi was absolutely sensational.

You can see how calm and confident he is right now based on how cooly he slotted it into the back of the net off the crossbar.

We cannot stop watching it.

In other Rangers news, a Sky Sports pundit has hit out at something “ridiculous” he heard said about this Gers star.
