Simon Brotherton: Ryan Kent has been 'excellent' for Rangers v Sparta Prague

Simon Brotherton was in awe of Rangers ace Ryan Kent as he has looked extremely threatening down the left against Sparta Prague.

The visitors are playing deeper which is giving the Englishman the license to move forward.

In the 6th minute of the game, Kent ran past their defence with ease and set up a glorious opportunity for Joe Aribo, which found the crossbar.

Speaking on the Europa League world feed, Brotherton, a BBC commentator, said, “Brilliant by Kent. Excellent stuff down Rangers’ left and Joe Aribo nearly made this the perfect start for the new manager.”

Sublime individual

When Kent is playing with this kind of freedom, he is an absolute joy to watch.

It seems like he can do no wrong as he carries the ball with such great confidence and is always looking to threaten the opposition goal.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst knows that he’s got a sublime talent on his hands, and if this game is any indicator, he does know how to get the best out of him.

Alfredo Morelos has also looked sharp and has scored his first Europa League goal of the season.

Hopefully, the GvB era continues in this rich vein of form and he can prove to be the man to guide them into the knockout rounds as well as to their 56th league title.

There appears to be a real hunger and desire in this side and we’re not seeing any signs of the shambles that was the performance against Hibs last weekend.
