Neil McCann could be set for Rangers return
Former Rangers star Neil McCann could make a return to Ibrox as part of the coaching staff under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, according to reports from The Scottish Sun.
Rangers are in the process of sorting out Gio’s backroom staff, and there could be a role for McCann.
The 47-year-old is a highly respected coach who has added flavour to punditry with his in-depth analysis while working for Rangers Tv.
The report claims that Rangers have held tentative talks with the former Gers winger. He would be more than happy to join his former friend at Ibrox.
Smart choice
McCann will be a smart addition to the Rangers coaching unit. He has had previous experience working for Dundee and Inverness and has great knowledge about the game.
Furthermore, being a former Gers, he knows the club inside out like Van Bronckhorst, and they could work together to consolidate the culture of the club.

With Rangers struggling a bit financially, this is the perfect time for them to focus on improving the existing players rather than lookout in the market for easy solutions. A strong coaching unit will be key, and that is where McCann fits in.
Former Bayern Munich striker Roy Makaay is reportedly set to join the Dutchman, and it will be interesting to see if McCann joins him as well.
