Rangers could sign Ajax forward Danilo in January as van Bronckhorst arrives in Glasgow
Rangers could turn their attention towards signing players from the Dutch Eredivisie in January after Giovanni van Bronckhorst arrived in Glasgow on Friday to be the new manager at Ibrox, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper has suggested a number of players from the Dutch top-flight who van Bronckhorst may want to sign and one of them is Ajax’s Brazilian centre-forward Danilo.
The 22-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, meaning the Gers can enter talks to sign him on a pre-contract basis as early as January.

Will Gio go Dutch?
Van Bronckhorst’s arrival at Ibrox means that the Rangers end at Hampden on Sunday will be decked in orange while we can also see the same happening at Ibrox on Thursday when Sparta Prague are in town.
But will Gio build a Dutch contingency in Glasgow now that he’s arrived?
There’s every suggestion that his coaching staff is going Dutch with Roy Makaay set to became one of his assistants so why wouldn’t he do that with the players too?

Van Bronckhorst and those who he’s bringing over from the Netherlands will have great knowledge of a market that needs to be tapped into more often.
Danilo isn’t Dutch but he’s been in the Ajax academy since 2017 and teams in the Netherlands have a knack for building up brilliant Brazilians.
He’s only played nine times for Ajax’s first-team and this season has seen him mostly play for the Under-21s.
However, Danilo could offer support to a position that may be weakened if Alfredo Morelos moves on.
In other Rangers news, Michael Mols has sent a message to the Gers amid speculation he’s going to be on Gio’s new coaching team.
