Fabrizio Romano: Giovanni van Bronckhorst deal confirmed for Rangers

Fabrizio Romano has shared that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be the next manager of Rangers this week.

The reliable journalist has “confirmed” the news, with the Dutchman agreeing to a contract in Glasgow.

Romano shared the deal is done, although he has yet to sign his contract meaning the announcement may not be imminent.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano confirmed the news that everyone has been waiting for at Ibrox.

“Done deal, confirmed and here-we-go,” he wrote.

“Gio Van Bronckhorst will be the new Rangers manager, agreement reached. He’ll soon sign his contract and will be announced as Gerrard replacement. Van Bronckhorst is coming.”

Here we go.

This is the news that everyone has been waiting for.

There is no one better than Romano for news such as this, and it looks as though van Bronckhorst will return to Ibrox and take charge of our run for silverware this season.

Steven Gerrard has been forgotten about already, and there will be excitement through the roof for this one.

All eyes will now turn to his backroom staff and who is going to follow him to Ibrox, although we likely won’t know that until after the Hibernian game on Sunday.

With Walter Smith’s memorial being tomorrow, all eyes will be on that and the announcement will most likely come at the weekend.
