Van Bronckhorst in 24-hour wait with prime Rangers manager target yet to land in Glasgow
Giovanni van Bronckhorst was not on the private jet that landed in Glasgow on Tuesday after Rangers held talks with the Dutchman, according to journalist Chris Jack.
Writing on the Glasgow Evening Times website, Jack reports that van Bronckhorst faces a 24-hour wait after a Gers delegation returned to the UK without the Dutchman and his representatives.
However, it is understood that van Bronckhorst is Rangers’ prime target and the manager’s job at Ibrox is a “dream” for the Dutchman.

Jack adds: “Sources close to the Dutchman have revealed van Bronckhorst will await contact from Rangers on Wednesday and that call will determine when he heads to Scotland.”
Get it done – ASAP
Rangers shouldn’t be making van Bronckhorst wait around because the longer this goes on for, the more likely it is that the Dutchman walks away.
He may well be very keen on the job at Ibrox but if there’s a bit of hesitation, the ex-Feyenoord manager may feel as though his potential new paymasters aren’t completely sold on hiring him.
And if that’s the case, would he have doubts about taking the job? Possibly.

Either way, we’re not getting too nervous just yet and we’re still quite confident that van Bronckhorst will become the 18th permanent manager of the Gers’ long and proud history.
It seems as though the majority of fans are happy with van Bronckhorst coming in and the former defender also ticks the massive box in that he already knows the club and knows the expectations here having played Ibrox between 1998 and 2001.
Van Bronckhorst could be a real hit here and we cannot wait to have him on board.
Just please, do not much this up, Rangers.
