Rangers official greet private jet in Glasgow on Tuesday afternoon amid manager hunt
Rangers officials met a private jet in Glasgow on Tuesday afternoon as the club’s search for a new manager rumbles on, according to the Daily Record.
Reporting on their live blog, it is claimed that two Rangers security officers greeted the aircraft upon its touchdown in Scotland.
The flight went into the Business Aviation Centre, away from the main terminal, and an executive vehicle was on the runway to launch a quick getaway for its passengers.

The Daily Record added: “All very hush-hush, but it looks as if this one is happening sooner rather than later.”
On the verge?
The identity of the passenger, or passengers, remains a mystery at this stage, but all signs point towards an imminent appointment as Rangers narrow down their search for Steven Gerrard’s successor at Ibrox.
Plenty of names have been mentioned but the one name that has stuck is Giovanni van Bronckhorst, the former Gers midfielder.
He held “positive talks” with the club on Saturday but was believed to have headed straight back to the Netherlands.
But could he be back in Glasgow to talk over the finer details of his appointment as the next Rangers manager?

Or is a new contender set to discuss matters with the club’s hierarchy?
Rangers fans are sure to be on tenterhooks, and for good reason.
This is a vital appointment in the club’s history as they seek to build on the work undertaken by Gerrard.
It comes at an awkward stage of the season and thus it is crucial the Gers get this one right.
They shouldn’t rush into an unnecessary appointment they are unsure about, but a League Cup semi-final clash awaits at Ibrox on Sunday and a new manager in place for that tie would surely lift the roof off of Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, a Heart & Hand podcast member has shed light on this 58-year-old boss reportedly headed for Ibrox as a family link emerges.
