Images show Rangers security staff at Glasgow Airport as private jet arrives in Scotland

Two Rangers security staff members were pictured at Glasgow Airport today (Tuesday) after a private jet landed, according to the Scottish Sun.

SunSport photographer Kenny Ramsay snapped images of the plane arriving in Glasgow ahead of a four-by-four whisking away the passengers to avoid them going through public areas of the airport.

You can see a couple of the images from the Scottish Sun below:

Was it Gio?

It remains to be seen whether it was Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the plane or whether members of Rangers staff were on board.

According to the Scottish Sun, the plane that had the passengers quickly whisked away from landed from Amsterdam, where van Bronckhorst flew from on Saturday before talks in London.

It is understood that “a high-level club delegation” met with van Bronckhorst in the Netherlands ahead of potentially hiring him to replace Steven Gerrard in the manager’s hot seat at Ibrox.

You can easily assume that the delegation was returning Gio’s homeland or it was the man himself arriving ahead of an official unveiling as the new manager.

Either way, it must be close to van Bronckhorst being made our new manager.

We cannot wait to see what he can do at Ibrox.

Gerrard’s exit has caused a major issue, especially with the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Hibernian on Sunday before a must-win Europa League showdown with Sparta Prague.

Getting in a new manager as soon as possible will give us the best possible chance of winning those matches.

In other Rangers news, a broadcaster has been told the Gers never considered this manager to take charge.
