Steven Gerrard wants Nathan Patterson at Aston Villa, PSG also in hunt for Rangers right-back
Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson is wanted by Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa in January while Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are also keen on him, according to 90min.
The football news outlet has reported that since arriving at Villa Park, Gerrard has told the Premier League club’s hierarchy that he wants several players from Rangers after leaving Ibrox.
It is understood that as well as 19-year-old Patterson, Gerrard may also target Glen Kamara, Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent.

90min adds that for now, his “main targets” are Scotland international Patterson and 26-year-old midfielder Kamara, who would cost over £30million combined.
Gerrard is reportedly keen to sign Patterson in January amid rising interest from across Europe with Bayern, PSG and Atletico among those tracking the young full-back.
Someone’s bound to go
We’ll be surprised if Gerrard goes to Aston Villa and doesn’t take anyone with him.
After we hired him from Liverpool, Rangers signed Ryan Kent, John Flanagan, Sheyi Ojo and Ovie Ejaria from the Merseyside club.
He knows this bunch of players well and it would not shock us in the slightest if he tries to take Patterson and Kamara with him to Villa.
Would Patterson want to go though?

The 19-year-old played second fiddle to James Tavernier when Gerrard was here and Villa already have an experienced right-back in Matty Cash.
Sitting on the bench in the Premier League is better than sitting on the bench in Scotland but there are more games to be played up here, especially if we keep getting into Europe and reaching the knock-out stages of competitions.
Patterson would get us a lot of money and we still need to claw back some of the losses made last season.
Selling Patterson would balance the books and then some for the new manager to bring in his own players.
In other Rangers news, this coach has been spotted jetting to Glasgow amid speculation surrounding his future.
