Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara targeted by Aston Villa
Aston Villa are “set to renew” their interest in Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to reports from the Daily Record.
Steven Gerrard has become the new manager of Aston Villa, and it’s obvious that several Rangers players are going to be linked with the Premier League in the next few weeks.
Villa were interested in signing Kamara during the summer transfer window, and they are set to reignite that interest with Gerrard now at the helm.

The Bears signed him from Dundee and Gerrard helped make him one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership.
The 26-year-old played a key role for the club last season as they won the SPFL by remaining undefeated throughout the season.
Ibrox raid
The report claims that Kamara and Ryan Kent are two players Gerrard could look to sign for Villa.
Kamara has a contract at the Ibrox club till 2025, but he has always expressed his desire to play in the Premier League.
Rangers are in a parlous financial situation at the moment, and the club may look to sell a few of their prized assets to balance the books.
This isn’t ideal for the new manager at Ibrox, but the financial situation is difficult at the moment.
Rangers could be looking to sell either Kent or Kamara (or any other player) if there’s a good offer on the table.
Gerrard previously hailed Kamara as a “terrific” player, and he would be a very good signing for the Midlands club.
The groundwork has been put in place already, with Villa sporting director Johan Lange being a big fan of the player.
Villa probably would be looking to capitalise on that. Gerrard is expected to be handed a massive transfer kitty at Villa, and there’s every chance that Kamara could be lured away from Ibrox.
