Rangers could hire new manager within days, Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants talks with Ross Wilson
Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to talk about a deal to become the new Rangers manager with Ross Wilson, according to the Glasgow Evening Times.
The newspaper reports that after Steven Gerrard quit Ibrox for Aston Villa on Thursday, the Gers want to make a quickfire appointment to replace him and are aiming to make a hire in the coming days.
Van Bronckhorst is currently out of work after a short spell in China and previously managed Feyenoord.

Get it done – ASAP
In order to avoid as much disruption as possible, Rangers need to hire a new manager as soon as they can.
Gerrard leaving is a massive blow, especially at this point because the side has shown signs of clicking into gear over recent weeks.
After the current international break is over, we played Hibernian at Hampden in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals before welcoming Sparta Prague to Ibrox in a must-win Europa League showdown.

We simply cannot afford to come off the boil now and while losing Gerrard is a blow, we could also see this as an opportunity for a new manager to inject some life into the side.
Would van Bronckhorst do that? He might.
The Dutchman, who played for Rangers, Arsenal and Barcelona in his playing days, won Feyenoord’s first Eredivisie title in 18 years a couple of seasons ago.
He’ll know what it takes at Ibrox and he knows how to win trophies.
Rangers could really benefit from hiring a manager who’s been at the club before and also has a good level of experience elsewhere in a league that isn’t all too dissimilar to the Scottish Premiership.
Go on, Wilson. Get Gio in.
