View: Three Rangers players Steven Gerrard could bring to Aston Villa
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard could be announced as the next manager for Aston Villa very soon.
Villa are reportedly close to appointing him as their next manager following the sacking of Dean Smith.
It has been reported that Rangers have granted Gerrard permission to talk with Villa, and wide reports suggest that he is likely to join them.

The former Liverpool skipper should be aiming to transform Villa, similar to the work he did at Rangers.
Having delivered the title for the club for the first time since 2011, it has become clear why Villa are so keen to sign him. He could raid his former club in January and bring in the players of his choice.
Rangers are in a parlous financial situation at the moment, with the club operating on huge losses. They would be open to selling some of their key players, and Gerrard could exploit that opportunity.
Ryan Kent
The 24-year-old has been a revelation at Rangers under Gerrard. Having failed to fulfil his potential at Liverpool, a move to Ibrox has worked wonders for him.

Last season he contributed 13 goals and 15 assists in all competitions, and Gerrard would love to get him at his new club at the earliest.
Glen Kamara
Kamara played a crucial role in the club’s title success last season, and Gerrard could bring him to Villa Park in January.
The 26-year-old could be keen to return to the Premier League as well having previously failed to prove himself at Arsenal. But most importantly, Rangers could be willing to cash in on him.

Nathan Patterson
The youngster is a highly-rated right back at the Ibrox club and according to Scotsman journalist Barry Anderson, he could be sold at £10million.
Everton reportedly made an attempt to sign him during the summer, but Gerrard was reluctant to sell him.
The Toffees are still keen to get him in January, but Gerrard can lure him to Villa Park with a lucrative offer.
In other Rangers news, a move to Ibrox has been mooted for this ex-Gers star.
