Marcel van der Kraan discusses what Van Bronckhorst has said about the Rangers job
Marcel van der Kraan has shared that Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants the Rangers job and being closer to home is “perfect” for him.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Dutch football journalist went into great detail discussing the former Gers man, and it seems as if he wants the job.
Van Bronckhorst apparently told van der Kraan that he would be keen to take the job, which is huge news for the Gers as they look to make a swift appointment.

“This is the perfect time for Rangers to snap Gio up. His coaching career has gone very well.
“Giovanni wants to stay closer to his family, closer to home and Rangers in Glasgow is, of course, the perfect place for him to be close to family.
“He’s still got a lot of friends there, so I think this is perfect timing. Gio is a big fan of the 4-3-3, he likes to play with wingers, he likes his own very attacking style.
“Not long ago, I had an interview with him, and he said ‘one day I hope to be Rangers manager’. He’s a man who knows the culture of the club; he knows the supporters, he knows what they want.”
Positive and informative update from van der Kraan.
This is huge news for the Gers, and it seems as if all they have to do is make an offer.
Van Bronckhorst understands the club and the culture of the club and would be able to invest in that straight away.
Now, there are a lot of options out there for the Bears, but surely, the Dutchman is the number one choice?

He has done a good job at most of the clubs he has been at, and the Gers have a strong squad that could benefit from some fresh ideas and build on the foundations that Gerrard set.
This really could be the ideal time for the Gers to go out and appoint Van Bronckhorst, and after listening to van der Kraan’s interview, he seems like the perfect man to start a new era at Ibrox.
So, there could be a nervous wait, but Van Bronckhorst looks to be the ideal candidate.
In other Rangers news, the Gers are considering a move for Burnley manager Sean Dyche.
