Our Rangers Super Fans are urging the club to make Michael Beale the new manager with Steven Gerrard reportedly closing in on a move to Aston Villa.
Dean Smith was sacked by the struggling Premier League club on Sunday and Gerrard instantly emerged in the frame to replace him.
Things have escalated since then and talkSPORT now report that Villa are confident of hiring Gerrard before the end of the week with the Gers manager in London for talks with their CEO Christian Purslow.

With it seeming increasingly likely that Gerrard will leave Rangers during this current international break, attention has started to turn upon who could replace him at the helm at Ibrox.
No one has been properly linked as of yet but there has been speculation among the bookmakers and the suporters.
And some members of our Rangers Super Fans panel believe the solution to Ross Wilson’s problem is right under his nose in first-team coach Beale.
Here is what some of the fans had to say:

Unfortunately, for those calling for Beale to replace Gerrard, he’s wanted at Villa Park alongside the soon-to-be-former Rangers manager [talkSPORT].
Beale’s also in London right now, based on his Instagram activity, and is bound to be someone who Gerrard trusts to take with him to Villa – and beyond in his managerial career.
He’s a rookie, in terms of management, having never taken on a manager role for a senior team in his career.
We’d like to see at least one member of Gerrard’s staff stay behind to help this squad of players merge with a new coaching team.
Gary McAllister, maybe?
In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has reacted to the talk of Gerrard quitting Ibrox to join Aston Villa.
