Aston Villa agree fee for Gerrard to leave Rangers
Aston Villa have agreed to pay £3million for Steven Gerrard, and his exit from Rangers is now imminent.
The Daily Telegraph report that the deal will be completed within the next 48 hours; Gary McAllister and Michael Beale will also definitely be moving to Villa Park.
This move has happened very quickly, but it does appear as if Gerrard’s stay with the Gers is over, and a new challenge awaits him.

Brutal stuff for the Bears.
So, it appears as if Gerrard’s glorious time at Ibrox is coming to a premature end.
If his last game was on Sunday, then at least he went out with a bang and with a comfortable win, but the Gers are about to be left in a poor position.
Gerrard has transformed the club; he invested his time and effort into catching and eventually beating Celtic to the title.

However, the 41-year-old looks to be on his way to a new challenge and annoyingly, he isn’t costing very much and taking two key members of staff with him.
He might even take a couple more as well, but for now, it is just Beale and McAllister, so the Gers are about to be abandoned, and they have to act quickly to bring in another manager, or all of Gerrard’s good work could be undone.
The title race is still very close, and it is now time for the board to act and allow Gerrard’s replacement as much time as he needs to work with the players.
In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has had his say on Gerrard leaving Ibrox.
