Rangers confirm starting XI v Ross County

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the game against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Steven Gerrard has made five changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Brondby in the Europa League on Thursday.

Allan McGregor starts in goal at Ibrox, and he will be protected by a back four consisting of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, and Calvin Bassey.

The midfield three consists of John Lundstram, Juninho Bacuna, and Joe Aribo.

Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi start on the wings with Fashion Sakala up top.

A strong side from the Gers.

So, there are a few changes after the disappointing draw on Thursday night, and the likes of Kent and Lundstram have been handed the chance to keep impressing.

Should the Gers struggle to break down Malky Mackay’s side, then Gerrard can call on the likes of Ryan Jack, Nathan Patterson, Alfredo Morelos, and Kemar Roofe.

So there are plenty of players available to the Bears, and we are intrigued to see how they do as the SPFL title race heats up.

After a difficult week off the field, it is time for Gerrard’s men to step up on the pitch and deliver a big three points.

This team he has selected should be more than strong enough to get the win and head into the international break in a strong position.

In other Rangers news, Derek McInnes has had his say on Nathan Patterson’s future.
