Sky Sports share if Ryan Jack will play for Rangers v Ross County

Sky Sports have shared early Rangers team news for the Scottish Premiership clash against Ross County.

The Bears welcome County to Ibrox on Sunday afternoon fresh off the boost of welcoming Ryan Kent back to action in the Europa League.

It’s not good news for Ryan Jack, though, with this game expected to come too early for his return to the matchday squad.

Writing in their preview for the clash, Sky Sports shared that some big names will be missing over the weekend.

“Rangers have no fresh injuries ahead of their cinch Premiership encounter with Ross County,” they wrote.

“Ryan Kent made his return to action from a hamstring injury when he came off the bench during the Europa League draw against Brondby on Thursday.

“Ryan Jack is close to a comeback following a long-term calf injury but is unlikely to face County.”

So close.

Steven Gerrard continues to tease the return of Jack to his squad, and it looks as though he will be given the international break to really get back up to match fitness.

The Scottish international is a huge influence in the Ibrox dressing room, and his return to the mix could really kickstart the Bears into action.

With huge games in the Europa League and that semi-final in the cup against Hibernian coming up, having Jack will be crucial in both of those.

Having that experience in the dressing room will be a real gamechanger, even if he isn’t starting the game, Jack will make an impact.

A spark is missing, and with the midfielder on the verge of his return, hopefully, he can bring that with him.
