Steven Gerrard raves about Rangers striker Fashion Sakala

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has showered heaps of praise on Gers Fashion Sakala after he scored a hat-trick against Motherwell on Sunday.

The Gers moved four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table after they won 6-1 against Motherwell at Fir Park.

Gerrard was full of praise for Salaka after the game. Apart from him, the likes of James Tavernier, Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe were also on target.

Gerrard said he has shown flashes of brilliance during the game, and that he has delivered for his side.

“Fashion’s been waiting to do that. He’s shown glimpses, he’s shown flashes. He’s gone and delivered for his team today,” said Gerrard on Sakala.

Consistency needed

Rangers now need consistency from here on. This is arguably their best performance of the season and the Gers must look to build on this.

The champions have been criticised heavily this season, despite being on top of the table. It has been suggested that they are far from their best this season, and have been a pale imitation of the side that won the league title last season.

Rangers

The defence is still a major concern, with Kenny Miller sending a warning today that the Gers must stop conceding early goals.

However, there are plenty of positivity Rangers can draw from this game.

They came from behind to secure a thumping win, and this will give them huge confidence going forward.

Rangers were lacking the cutting edge so far, but Gerrard will hope that his team has now finally found the belief to return to their best form.

In other Rangers news, Kenny Miller was left gobsmacked by what this Ibrox star did against Motherwell.
