Rangers confirmed XI v Motherwell
Steven Gerrard has made four changes to the Rangers team that drew 2-2 with Aberdeen in midweek ahead of Sunday afternoon’s clash at Motherwell.
The Gers were two-nil down to the ‘Dons after 16 minutes at Ibrox on Wednesday and needed goals from Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier to rescue a point.
After that disappointment, Gerrard has elected to bring the experienced duo of Allan McGregor and Steven Davis back into the fold after both remained on the bench against Aberdeen.

That sees Jon McLaughlin and John Lundstram drop out of the starting XI, while Fashion Sakala and Scott Arfield replace Kemar Roofe and Ianis Hagi.
Rangers confirmed their starting XI and substitute bench on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off.
Clean sheet in focus
Rangers have been uncharacteristically vulnerable in defence this season, and addressing that will surely go a long way to ensuring victory today and strengthening their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers have conceded 10 goals in 11 league games so far this season – they only shipped 13 in 38 during the 2020/21 campaign.
Indeed, Gerrard’s side have kept just one clean sheet in their last six games.
The reverse fixture with Motherwell, on September 19, saw the sides play out a 1-1 draw with Kaiyne Woolery’s second-half equaliser cancelling out Fashion Sakala’s first goal for Rangers.
Motherwell come into today’s clash in poor form, though, failing to achieve victory in their last four games, including three defeats.
For Rangers, today marks the chance to go four points clear of bitter rivals Celtic after the Hoops could only manage a 0-0 draw at home to Livingston on Saturday.
In other Rangers news, Adrian Durham has issued a thinly-veiled dig at this big-name Ibrox player after a recent development.
