Andy Walker slams Stephen O’Donnell sending off as Rangers hammer Motherwell
Andy Walker slammed referee Nick Walsh after Stephen O’Donnell was sent off for Motherwell in their 6-1 loss to Rangers on Sunday.
In the second half of the Premiership action at Fir Park, O’Donnell was shown a second yellow card by Walsh after a late sliding challenge on Calvin Bassey.
O’Donnell was nowhere near the ball and Walsh didn’t hesitate to brandish a second yellow card for the Motherwell right-back.

However, Sky Sports pundit Walker feels it was simply a foul and not enough to be a yellow card.
Speaking on Sky Sports Football, Walker said: “It’s a foul, I don’t think it’s worth a yellow.
“It’s not a yellow but he gives the referee a decision to make.
“The threshold is always so low now for yellows and O’Donnell has picked up two of them. That’s the end of the game for him.”

Simple red card
How was it even up for debate?
O’Donnell was rightly booked earlier in the game for holding and was rightly booked for a completely mistimed tackle on Bassey that got nowhere near the ball in the second half.
How on earth can Walker argue against the fact that was a yellow card? It was as obvious a yellow card you’ll see in football.
Walker’s bias just cannot be hidden.
The former Celtic and Motherwell player, who’s been banned from Ibrox, would argue that the sky is green if a Rangers fan told him it was blue.
He just doesn’t want to agree with anything that goes our way and adds to the perception that we are getting easy decisions from referees all the time.
We really do miss when Scottish football was shown on BT Sport – at least their pundits could hide their bias a bit better than Walker.
He’s easily the worst there is.
In other Rangers news, Darrell Currie was silenced by this Ibrox ace after he tweeted during the game.
