Micah Richards thrilled by Steven Gerrard at Rangers
Micah Richards has been thrilled by Steven Gerrard and his transition into a title-winning manager at Rangers.
The Liverpool and England icon is already known at Ibrox for being a legend after ending Celtic’s run of dominance in the Scottish Premiership.
Richards compared Gerrard to Patrick Vieira, insisting that both big names instantly command respect in the dressing room.

Writing in his Daily Mail column this week, Richards believes that Rangers players will be willing to do anything for their boss.
“This is no ordinary footballer,” he wrote.
“Patrick, like Steven Gerrard at Rangers, commands immediate respect for all that he achieved. Young players now will have grown up idolising them and, on his reputation alone, they will want to run through a brick wall for him.”

Respect.
This is what it comes down to.
In the week of the passing of Walter Smith, this is something that he commanded first of all from all of his players.
Charlie Adam told a wonderful story on BT Sports last night, where he was nearly kicked out of Ibrox for playing a no-look pass and disrespecting the opposition.
Gerrard will be looking to emulate that level of respect in his squad and around Ibrox, and winning silverware consistently is the best way of doing that.
Vieira is now plying his trade in the English Premier League, and there will no doubt be more calls for Gerrard to do the same in the near future.
Hopefully, we have more years and more silverware to look forward to under Gerrard, with losing him the last thing we want to be thinking about right now.
