Amy Irons and Marvin Bartley predict scoreline of Rangers v Motherwell

Rangers travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell on Sunday and will be desperate for a win after Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Aberdeen.

While Steven Gerrard’s side are still top of the Scottish Premiership table, only two points separate them from second-placed Celtic, and they need to pick up three points tomorrow.

On the BBC Sport website, Livingston assistant manager Marvin Bartley has predicted a 1-0 win for the Gers over the Steelmen, while BBC Sport Scotland presenter Amy Irons has opted for a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the Bears.

Rangers

Tough one?

Motherwell held Rangers to a 1-1 draw when they visited Ibrox in September, and they will fancy their chances of getting a result when the Premiership defending champions come visiting.

The hosts have won just one of their last six league games, losing three and drawing twice, so they are not particularly in top form heading into weekend’s game.

Rangers are not firing on all cylinders at the moment either, winning three of their last six league games and drawing the other three.

Rangers

They are favourites on paper to win, but that will not come easy against an opponent that always look to be a tough nut to crack for them.

Despite their erratic form, the Light Blues should still pick up all three points at the expense of Motherwell, and with Celtic breathing down their neck, they cannot afford to drop any more points.
