View: Worrying Rangers stats reveal Gerrard’s tactics not paying off
Rangers drew 2-2 against Aberdeen in their last Scottish Premiership game at Ibrox.
The Gers have been very inconsistent this season, and Steven Gerrard has admitted as well that they haven’t been good enough.
The champions have been a pale imitation of the side that won the league at a canter last season. Put it simply, Rangers are struggling to match the standards they had set for themselves.

The leaky defence is conceding goals at ease. However, it is in the attacking department where Rangers have been very ordinary this term.
Against Aberdeen, they didn’t give the impression that they can score from an open play in the second half.
Rangers have managed only 31 goals from 20 games, of which five of them has come against Dunfermline. Compared to last season, they were at 58 goals after 21 games in all competitions.
According to The Athletic, it’s the partnership between Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe that should concern Steven Gerrard.

The duo has made 19 starts together, but there are hardly any signs that the partnership will blossom at any time. Morelos has made only nine passes to Roofe in the SPFL and received 11 passes from him so far.
It clearly suggests that the duo is not connecting well upfront.
Gerrard must make a bold call here. He must change his tactics and use either of them. There is a feeling among the pundits that Morelos must be dropped.
The Colombian international has scored in his last two games and reached a prestigious milestone of 100 goals for the club, but his movement and overall contribution has been criticised.
In other Rangers news, the Gers are set to be without a Gerrard stalwart at Fir Park.
