Rangers star Filip Helander 50% through recovery process – Steven Gerrard
Steven Gerrard has shared a major update on the recovery of Rangers star, Filip Helander, this week in his press conference.
The Swede was stretched off against St Johnstone back in September and is still expected to be out until December.
Gerrard has confirmed that Helander is now off crutches and is almost 40-50% through his recovery process.

Speaking in Friday’s press conference, as relayed on the clubs’ official Twitter account, Gerrard confirmed the news.
“Filip (Helander) is now off crutches and is doing work in the gym but is currently only around 40/50% through his recovery,” he said.
“He is a top player and we won’t rush his recovery.”
Getting there.
It may not feel as though his return is around the corner, but this is another brilliant step in the recovery of Helander.
The Swede has been phenomenal since arriving at Ibrox, and there is no doubt that we are missing one of our star defenders.
With 50% of his recovery nearly done, Gerrard will be counting down the days until he is back available for selection.
Luckily, it looks as though one of his first returning games could be the next Old Firm – what a moment that could be given he scored the winner in the previous meeting.
Gerrard admitted he won’t rush Helander back, just as he is being careful with Ryan Jack and Kent – something which could be used as a warning.
We’re already counting down the days – bring it on.
