Predicted Rangers starting XI v Motherwell

Rangers travel to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday looking for a return to form and a big three points.

Steven Gerrard will want a huge response after the disappointing 2-2 draw against Aberdeen on Wednesday evening.

That result cut the lead to the chasing pack down to two points, and the Bears will want to put down another marker with a big win here.

Rangers

Alan McGregor will come back into the starting XI after what was a far from convincing display from Jon McLaughlin.

Borna Barisic has been confirmed out injured, so Calvin Bassey will once again start at left-back for the Bears on Sunday.

Conor Goldson, Leon Balogun and James Tavernier will all continue in the back four too, with experience staying ahead of youth for now.

Steven Davis will come back into the side at the base of midfield, with his ability to control a game something that has been lacking severely this season.

Rangers

Ahead of him will be another change in midfield, although Glen Kamara will keep his spot with John Lundstram being dropped.

Gerrard was thrilled with Scott Arfield and his attitude in training in his press conference today, and we believe that will warrant him a start – his first in the league this season.

Joe Aribo hasn’t been mentioned yet, and he will be moving into the front three – a position he terrorised Celtic from earlier this year.

Alongside him will be Ianis Hagi and Alfredo Morelos.

There have been calls for the Colombian to be dropped, but having finally found goalscoring form (two in his last two) it would surely be foolish to place him on the bench.

Here’s how we expect the Bears to line up against Motherwell…
