Davis and Barisic out: Rangers confirm Starting XI v Aberdeen

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the Premiership match against Aberdeen at Ibrox tonight.

Steven Gerrard has made two changes from the team that beat St Mirren 2-1 at the weekend with Borna Barisic and Steven Davis both dropping out and being replaced by Calvin Bassey and Glen Kamara.

Jon McLaughlin starts in goal.

He will be protected by a back four consisting of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, and Bassey.

The midfield three consists of Kamara, John Lundstram, and Joe Aribo.

Ianis Hagi plays in behind a front two consisting of Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos.

Strong team from Gerrard.

The Gers were poor for thirty minutes against the Saints, but they regained their composure and scored two very quick goals, which proved to be enough.

Therefore, it is no real surprise to see that Gerrard has only made one change as the Bears look to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Now, if things start to go wrong, he can call on the likes of Juninho Bacuna, Scott Wright, and Fashion Sakala.

So there are options there for Gerrard, but if the Gers can play to their capabilities, then this should be quite a comfortable win against a struggling Aberdeen side.

The Dons are usually right up there, but they have performed poorly this season, and we can’t see them getting anything from the Gers tonight, who should just prove to be too strong.
