Jermain Defoe sends brilliant message after Rangers win v St Mirren
Rangers striker Jermain Defoe took to Twitter to express his reaction after the Gers won 2-1 against St Mirren on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership clash.
Steven Gerrard’s side returned to the summit of the Premiership, with goals from Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos sealing all three points for the visitors.
Morelos scored his 100th goal for the club as Rangers came from behind to move to the top of the table.

Connor Ronan’s stunning strike inside four minutes gave St Mirren a shock lead, but Rangers showed great character to pick up a win at Paisley.
The Gers are now three points above Hearts, who dropped points on Saturday at home to Dundee.
Defoe took to Twitter to congratulate Morelos, saying he is “buzzing”.
Absent
Defoe sparked confusion when he appeared as a pundit on Sky Sports studio while his team was still playing against St Mirren.
The 39-year-old is still a Rangers player (and coach), and his absence from the team set-up has come as a big surprise.

Defoe has featured just once in the league. Since becoming the coach, his contribution as a player has been limited.
While the game was on, Defoe was providing analysis for Premier League matches on Sunday. It sparks confusion over his role at Ibrox as he should have been with Rangers on matchday.
Nevertheless, Defoe has done well for Rangers as a player. Since his move to Ibrox, he has netted 32 times in 72 matches.
It took Rangers a quarter of an hour to get going, but once they got into the groove, they looked a different beast. Ianis Hagi was outstanding during the game, while Connor Goldson was equally superb.
