James Tavernier congratulates Alfredo Morelos for 100 Rangers goals
Rangers captain James Tavernier took to Twitter to congratulate striker Alfredo Morelos after he scored his 100th club goal at the weekend.
With the score tied at one goal apiece, Morelos stepped up to put the Gers ahead and guided them to a 2-1 victory over St. Mirren.
It would have come as a huge relief for the Colombian as he had looked jittery in the past few games.
Tavernier said of the achievement, “Congratulations on your 100th goal bro.”
Finally
The past few months have not been easy for Morelos and he will be delighted to finally get this off his back.
He was uncertain about his future in the summer and even after his stay was confirmed, he did not hit the level of form we’ve seen him reach.
It felt like he was almost sulking at what was happening around him, but this goal and milestone can help rejuvenate him.

Strikers are known to pay close attention to these kinds of records, and hopefully now that it’s attained he can concentrate on his game and continue putting the ball in the back of the net.
It’s good to see Tavernier reach out to him on social media just as he would have in the dressing room at half-time.
There appears to be a real sense of camaraderie in the side at the moment and hopefully, it continues to stay that way.
